Taiwanese man overdoses on PC games
Death by a 1,000kbps...

A 27-year-old Taiwanese man has collapsed and died after a marathon 32 hour gaming session - around 10 days after a Korean gamer met a similar fate.

According to reports, Lien Wen-cheng logged on to a PC at a cybercafé in Fengyuan, central Taiwan, at 10.30pm on Thursday.

He was found on the floor of the café's toilet by a member of staff at 7am on Saturday, foaming at the mouth and bleeding from the nose.

He was rushed to hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival.

On Tuesday 8 October, a South Korean man died after playing computer games non-stop for four days.

But these aren't the first cases of games-related death. Earlier this year, a Louisiana mother sued Nintendo for "unspecified damages" having accused the company of causing seizures in her 30-year-old son which subsequently led to his death. The man spent 48 hours a week playing video games.
