A Landmarc deal

IT services giant Computer Sciences Corporation has won a share of a 10-year contract with the Ministry of Defence worth up to $948m (£605.6m).
CSC's DynCorp unit, acquired a month ago in a close to billion dollar deal, has teamed up with Interservefm Ltd to work on the contract. The joint 50-50 venture, called Landmarc Support Services, will handle range and estate management, IT systems, catering and accommodation for non-military army support.
The contract will cover 130 locations across England, Scotland and Wales in army training facilities, and will employ 2,000 personnel.
The deal is one of the largest support contracts ever awarded by the MoD. Landmarc was named as the preferred bidder in December 2002 and there is the option of a five-year extension.
