Compaq has joined forces with Legato to develop backup products for the data centre that are suitable for consolidated multivendor platforms and Storage Area Networking (SAN).
Compaq's Storagework Enterprise Backup Solutions (EBS) will be integrated with Legato's Networker and Smartmedia to provide backup of Windows NT on Compaq Proliant services and Compaq Tru64 Unix servers.
