Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched a Storage Area Networking (SAN) package for Windows NT server environments.
Its SureStore E Disk Array XP256 system and management software tools now fully support NT and has been made compatible with rival hardware platforms from IBM, Compaq and Dell.

Customers now have very large NT server farms but the storage tends to be coupled with the server that can lead to huge management headaches. This package allows them to consolidate the management of those environments."
