Disaster recovery specialist, Guardian iT, has launched a company offering electronic remote backup to UK businesses.
TeleVault iT will use client/server technology to automatically store network server data sent via ISDN, leased line or Web connections to two independent UK data centres. Stored information can be retrieved within minutes.
According to Guardian iT, the market for remote data backup in the UK could be worth as much as £1bn in four years.
Peter Hough, head of IT at TeleVault iT, said in a statement: "One of TeleVault's key advantages is that we can offer electronic vaulting alongside traditional disaster recovery services. So in the event of a disaster, we can totally rebuild your system and use TeleVault to ensure all your data is restored intact."
