IT managers worldwide are worried about their ability to manage increasing amounts of data over Windows NT networks.
This is according to Jason Rabbetts, the director of Source Enterprise Consulting, a storage consulting company.
Speaking at British Computer Society's quarterly ELITE meeting, Rabbetts went on to highlight the importance of storage issues and advised IT managers to place storage management as one of the top priority.
He also noted that management of open systems and Windows NT data is eight and half times more expensive than of mainframe environments.
As a remedy, Rabbetts recommends corporations to appoint specific storage managers working aside IT directors.
