Brocade SAN sales triple in one year

Brocade Communications has reported record third quarter (Q3) revenues of $92m, seeing sales triple over the same quarter last year.

The company, which manufactures switching equipment for Storage Area Networks, reported net income of $20m, a 1,146 per cent increase over Q3 the previous year, and a 51 per cent increase over Q2, 2000.

Greg Reyes, president and CEO, said he was delighted by the results. "Data storage requirements continue to increase across the board at a staggering rate," he said in a statement.
