ManagedStorage's flagship product, PowerBAK, enables service providers to offer backup and recovery of PC content over the internet or corporate network. The company claims its simple interface means ordinary users can choose which files to backup and how often data collection should be done.
Daniel Coetsier, president of ManagedStorage, said the product offers a convenient way for ASPs and ISPs to offer added value to customers.
PowerBak is aimed particularly at mobile users. "Surveys have shown that PC users consistently fail to backup their mission-critical data, especially travelling professionals using notebook computers while on the road," Coetsier said in a statement.
ManagedStorage's London base will also host backup services for Denmark, France and the Netherlands.
