EMC to launch high-end storage products

High performance products at mid-range prices...

EMC is to announce a new range of storage products aimed at taking high-end storage capabilities to mid-range customers.

According to newswire IDG.net the storage giant will unveil new versions of its Symmetrix systems - which have high performance characteristics - but will be priced to compete with other vendor's mid-range systems.

EMC CEO Joe Tucci is scheduled to make the announcement 5PM BST Monday.
