Computer Associates will launch a storage management portal later this year to help companies manage their SANs (Storage Area Network).
silicon.com can reveal that the portal will let companies implement and manage their SANs and other storage solutions.
The portal can be integrated with CA's BrightStor storage management software but it can also feature technologies from other vendors.
CA said it has witnessed problems with companies trying to implement SAN technologies because of a lack of open standards.
The company said the announcement will be made at its annual CA World conference in April held in Orlando, Florida.
