IBM has made some upgrades to its network attached storage (NAS) devices.

IBM's NAS 200 storage server can now take up to 1.7TB instead of its previous 440GB. Users of NAS 200 can upgrade their systems with a special expansion rack.

IBM has also announced enhancements to its NAS 300 and NAS 300G servers, which now both offer two port fibre channel adapters and support for copper ethernet.

The company has also tweaked its SAK 2.0, storage management software by making the view file functions easier.

Big Blue competes against HP, Network Appliance and EMC in the NAS space.
