With St Patrick's Day nearly here, revellers are doubtless trying to find the best Irish pub outside the Emerald Isle to mark the festivities. Now, thanks to one enterprising company, the answer can be found on your nearest iPod.
The iPod guide to Irish pubs covers drinking holes across the world, from Kilburn to Kazakhstan and from Liverpool to Lithuania - even providing the curious pub-goer information on where to find Irish pubs in Ireland.
The guide is self-confessedly generous in its definition of what constitutes an Irish pub: "We've defined an Irish pub broadly to include Irish theme pubs, those run by Irish people... or just those where Irish people might have gravitated. And of course we think all pubs in Ireland are Irish pubs!" the site says.
The guide, mostly devoted to location information and ratings, is available for the iPod and both Palm and PocketPC PDAs and can be found here.
Downloadable iPod guides have already covered subjects as diverse as New York pizza places and London toilets, as well as modern art and Wi-Fi hotspots.
