Comment
I just finished reading the comments concerning the RFID tagging of food animals in the United States. After readiing some of the requirements it seems that government is not concerned where the animals at all times but the tracking of where they have been and when they were there.
With mad cow diease, it would be great to know the history of that animal and track the others that were in the same locations. The government can not track the animal when they want it just doesn't work that way. It seems the individual that posted the comment is not familiar with how RFID works.
Comments like this create such a fear factor that the general public doesn't know what to think. And, when they do think, it is always negative.
Some how we need to educate the general public but that seems unrealistic since RFID won't cross the main stream for many years to come.
