People like order in there life, and they now have the ability to rip there own CD's in a fashion that reflects some sort of order, downloading mp3's from P2P sites is a bit of a gamble, the quality is more often than not that great, and the naming convention of the files is somewhat to be desired. No doubt you are still going to get the MP3 freaks who download millions of mp3's, not for the purpose of actually listening to them, they just collect them like football cards... got got got got got need need.. You know what I mean..

The record industry should have a little faith in us consumers, of course people are going to rip them off, I mean how could they expect otherwise.. They got to produce and package a superior product at a reasonable price.. its very therapeutic burning my CD's on to my mp3 player or Sony Hard Drive Player. Its all ordered and with an internet connection at the ready, hook it up to the CDDB site and wow I got names to go with my albums and songs.

So the world of the CD is not going to collapse as long as the producers respect the consumer. RIP US OFF and you can Expect the Same.

Personally I have spent more money on CD's in the past 2 months than I have in the past year. Its seems socially acceptable now to be seen to be buying CD's...

My two Cents
