I can assure Mr Jobs that the reason the UK is experiencing rapid growth in its online music store over Germany and France is simply that the store is better.
I live in the Netherlands and am therefore forced to a special Dutch version of the music store. It has about half the number of tracks as the UK version and has so far failed to convince me of its value.
Sort out a decent cross-Europe store and the people will come - taxes or not. After all, where else are they going to go? You have a virtual monopoly!
