My collection of papers will be noting as great as yours but I started to scan them last year.

It can be time consuming - not least when you stop to read the document to see if you need to keep it! However, I find it only takes a few seconds to both recognise the document and decide if I have to keep it.

I am scanning both type and hand written documents and then the paper goes to the recycle bin.

In contrast to you, Peter, I find it easier to bin the paper than the lumps of early technology!
