Dell and HP ramp up NAS offerings

Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell Computer have strengthened their positions in the network attached storage (NAS) market with new lines of products out this week.
HP has introduced four NAS servers based on thin server technology, designed for workgroups.
Meanwhile, Dell Computer has announced PowerVault storage products for NAS that enable access to Windows NT or Unix files from a dedicated file server, which can be linked onto a corporate network.
