Fujitsu says 'so long' to hard drive sector

Fujitsu is to quit the desktop hard drive business to concentrate on more profitable drives for servers and laptops.
The company blamed tough competition and low margins in the desktop section of the hard drive industry for the decision.
Fujitsu was the fifth-largest player in the market, with a nine per cent share. The company will halt production later this year.
